ABOUT US

Gorilla Disc Golf started over a decade ago as a ” by the player-for the player” event organization. With Cory Cardenas, Jim Kelly , Stephen McFarland and myself at the helm, we rode a great wave for few years. We did some really cool stuff for the community and built relationships with the players. As time went on, life got in the way. Couple of the OG’s moved away, life had different plans for Cory. Although he continues to give in the community, he had to scale back his involvement.  

A year and half ago a conversation happened between Patrick D Womack and I. It was decided we would revitalize the Gorilla name and in doing so we would commit to putting the community first. We would run the best events in the Houston area.  

Fast forward to now…….we are expanding to include a full apparel line, brick and mortar disc golf pro-shop and a web-store stocked with a full line of stock stamped discs, custom stamped discs and super rad shirts/hoodies and other gear. The web-store will also house our apparel line, all at competitive internet prices.    

We have built a team, organically.  Our core group consists of players and volunteers that just showed up and started helping. We then reached out to some area and national pros that we felt shared our goals and our values. Every member of our team holds the same status- they are part of the Gorilla Disc Golf family. We make sure each of them know they are valued.
